MANILA, Philippines - The road to Silang Javit is ready for the world's first green tourism market and festival that will gather 24 countries and many visitors.
The Travel Mart International Ecotourism Expo (IETM) will be held from March 29 to April 2, 2023 at the Cavite site of the International School of Sustainable Tourism (ISST) in Silang. Festival with Asian Ecotourism Network (AEN).
They are supported by ASEAN Biodiversity Center, Department of Tourism, Tourism Promotion Board, Department of Trade and Industry, Philippine Airlines and Silang Municipality.
AEN President Masaru Takayama confirmed the participation of ecotourism players and advocates from Asia as well as the United States, Australia, New Zealand and Costa Rica at this multi-stakeholder event under the theme of "Authentic Ecotourism".
Asian countries: Indonesia, Japan, China, Cambodia, Malaysia, India, Hong Kong, Laos, Singapore, Thailand, Nepal, Bhutan, Papua New Guinea, Vietnam, Korea, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Fiji and the Philippines.
According to IETM Co-Chair and ANN President Takayama, IETM is expected to have excellent cross-cultural learning and networking opportunities with experts, ecotourism professionals, advocates, participants and exhibitors.
ANN is an Asian initiative of the Costa Rica-based International Ecotourism Network. This creates ideal opportunities for cooperation between members at the regional level. Actively seeks channels for growth opportunities with small and large companies in Asia and shares relevant information and training materials among members. The Philippines is an active member of AEN.
